YVR’s new ad campaign features Vancouver Airport president and CEO Craig Richmond claiming to be obsessed with finding Ryan Reynolds – and he says he needs some help.

Richmond took some time away from running Canada’s second busiest airport to show off his sketch comedy chops in the airport’s latest social media campaign, #FindingRyan, posted on YVR’s Twitter page.

In the video, Richmond is keen to find a B.C. celebrity who can be the face of the airport and Reynolds is his number-one guy.

After vetoing celebrities in his video, such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Michael Bublé and Seth Rogan (already taken by TransLink), Richmond appears distraught that YVR won’t have anyone who can spread the word that the airport is community-based and not-for-profit.

Absent-mindedly doodling an image of Deadpool, Richmond then realizes that the airport’s top choice is Vancouver-born Reynolds.

“I will go out and convince Ryan Reynolds to be the spokesperson for YVR,” said Richmond in the #FindingRyan video.

But Richmond is asking for the public’s help in grabbing Reynold’s attention.

Twitter users have the chance to win a $2,500 travel voucher if they retweet YVR’s video and tag Reynolds (@VancityReynolds).
