The owner (and namesake) of Thomas Haas Fine Chocolates and Patisserie talks to Business in Vancouver about how he developed from a pastry chef to an entrepreneur.
A fourth-generation patisserie, Haas moved from Germany to Vancouver nearly 20 years ago to serve as executive pastry chef at the Four Seasons Hotel.
He opened his first chocolate and pastry bar in North Vancouver in 2004 and launched a second location in Vancouver five years later. His company employs nearly 40 workers.
