Robert Bosch GmbH has closed its $93 million deal to acquire Burnaby-based Extreme CCTV Inc. (TSX:EXC). The acquisition by the Stuttgart, Germany-based equipment manufacturer is aimed at strengthening Bosch's U.K., U.S.

The annual bottom line sagged for Vancouver-based Northgate Minerals Corp. (TSX:NGX) for the year ending December 31, 2007. Revenue fell to $335.7 million compared with $411.3 million in 2006. Net income was also down. It dropped to $38.

Despite a 19% increase in annual revenue, Vancouver-headquartered Teekay Corp. (NYSE:TK) reported a 31% drop in annual profit for the year ending December 31, 2007. The oil and gas tanker giant's annual revenue rose to US$2.

Silver Standard Resources Inc. (TSX:SSO) has raised approximately US$134 million from an offering of unsecured convertible notes.

Richmond's MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX:MDA) plans to acquire TransUnion LLC's real estate division for an undisclosed sum.

Xantrex Technology Inc. (TSX:XTX) reported a net loss for the year ending December 31, 2007, despite a 48% increase in annual revenue. Revenue for the Burnaby company rose to $234.2 million from $158.

Exposure to non-bank asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP) didn't stop HSBC Bank Canada (TSX:HSB.PR.C) from reporting a 6.6% increase in net income for the year ending December 31, 2007: $530 million compared with $497 million in 2006.

VendTeck Systems Inc. (TSX-V:VSI) has reported a 56% jump in revenue for the year ending October 31, 2007: $89.8 million compared with revenue of $57.6 million a year earlier.

Vancouver's Silver Wheaton Corp. (TSX, NYSE:SLW) has reported record annual net profits for the year ending December 31, 2007. They rose 7.9% to $91.9 million from the sale of 13.1 million ounces of silver compared with net earnings of $85.

The auction of almost 6,200 trucks and heavy equipment in Orlando, Florida, last week represented the largest in Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers' (TSX, NYSE:RBA) 50-year history.
