Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq:PLUG) has made a second acquisition in B.C.'s alternative energy sector. The Latham, New York-based company picked up General Hydrogen Corp. for approximately US$10 million.

Eldorado Gold Corp. (TSX:ELD) turned a 2006 first quarter loss into a 2007 first quarter profit on the strength of increased gold production and higher gold prices. Quarterly net earnings for the Vancouver-based company rose to $12.

Vancouver's mobile GPS provider Rx Networks Inc. has received $3.3 million from the B.C. Discovery Fund and Telus Corp. (TSX:T; NYSE:TA) to develop its GPS technology for mobile devices and expand its sales and marketing.

Calgary's Wellco Energy Services Trust (TSX:WLL.UN) has bought Vancouver's Sanitherm Engineering Ltd. for a reported $9.75 million.

Burnaby's TIO Networks Corp. (TSX-V:TNC), which provides financial services to cash-based consumers in the U.S., has added pre-paid MasterCards to its lineup of services.
