Business in Vancouver will be honouring May Brown as its 2013 Lifetime Achievement recipient for the Influential Women in Business Awards.
May is a former Vancouver city councillor and park board commissioner. She has been a community leader, coach and board member. She has mentored some of the province’s business leaders, including Janet Austin of the YWCA, Sandra Stevenson, formerly of Sport BC, Liz Watson of Watson Advisors and Laura Hansen of the Image Group.
May has been previously honoured with the Order of BC, Order of Canada and the YWCA Women of Distinction award.
May’s profile, along with five other Influential Women in Business honourees, will be in next week’s Business in Vancouver.
