On May 29, the red carpet will be rolled out at the Paradox Hotel for the inaugural REW Real Estate Awards — a gala hosted in partnership with BIV and sponsored by Trail Appliances.
REW (Real Estate Works) is Western Canada’s leading real estate platform. Since starting in 1978 as Real Estate Weekly, a hand-delivered newspaper insert, REW has been a trusted resource for Homeseekers looking to buy, sell or invest. From its expert team of One Member agents, to original media productions like RealTours and GREENLIGHT and the wealth of resources available on The Guide, REW provides Homeseekers with everything they need to make informed decisions on their real estate journeys.
Now, REW.ca is using in-house data and insights, plus collaborations with the gala’s sponsor and host, to celebrate top-performing agents at the REW Real Estate Awards.

With 82% of the top-performing agents in B.C. being REW One Member agents, the REW Real Estate Awards recognize their hard work and commitment to their clients, the industry and each other. Partnering with Trail Appliances and BIV will allow for a spectacular evening. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Trail Appliances is Western Canada’s largest independent appliance dealer, with options for Homeseekers and agents to outfit a kitchen, laundry room or patio. BIV has over 216,000 readers weekly and connects them to key business decision-makers, plus plenty of experience hosting gala events.
The Regional Awards and the Spotlight Awards
The categories are divided into the Regional Awards and the Spotlight Awards. The Regional Awards recognize agents in three categories from 12 regions, and an overall winner in each category:
- Connect Agent of the Year.
Awarded to the agent who has helped the most buyers on Connect in the past year, showing the agent’s dedication to clients and meeting their needs.
- Listing Agent of the Year.
Awarded to the agent with the highest number of listing views in their region over the last year, recognizing their ability to attract and engage Homeseekers.
- Top Marketer of the Year.
Awarded to the agent with the most impressions site-wide in their region over the last year, highlighting their exceptional personal branding and marketing efforts.
The Spotlight Awards acknowledge agents who have shown outstanding performance in the following categories:
- Future Icon in Real Estate.
Awarded to an emerging agent who has demonstrated exceptional growth and impact within their first five years in the industry. This agent stands out as a rising leader, showcasing the potential to become a future icon in real estate.
- Legend of Real Estate.
This award recognizes an agent with over 20 years of experience who has built a lasting reputation in the industry. This individual is a community advocate, a mentor to their peers and a trusted leader who continues to inspire others and elevate the profession.
- Brokerage Excellence Award.
Awarded to the brokerage with the highest number of agents enrolled in the REW One Membership program, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation and professional growth.
- RealTours Top Performer.
Awarded to the agent whose Season 2 episode of RealTours garnered the highest viewership, highlighting their ability to engage audiences and showcase properties in an outstanding way.
